Damages Criteria
Our team check every edition before it sets off on its journey to you. If yours has arrived in less than perfect condition, check the criteria below to find out if your book qualifies for a replacement.

| Tear, rip, cut, or scratch over 1cm on the cover, dust jacket, or spine | Minor surface scratches |
| Missing parts or pages | Minimal creasing on dust jacket |
| Puncture marks | Small white spots or minor colour loss |
| Corners dented or crushed by more than 1.5cm | Slightly wavy pages |
| Split spine | Slightly loose dust jacket |
| Water damage | Minor blur on stencilled or digitally printed edges |
| Stencil/digital edges so off-centre that part of the central design is missing | Light scuffing on edges or spine |
| Heavily blurred stencilled or digitally printed edges | Stencil/digital edges less than 3mm off-centre |
| Missing or detached ribbon bookmark | Minor tears on endpaper pages that don't affect the overall appearance |

We check every book before it leaves us, but we know that sometimes the unexpected happens in transit. If your book arrives damaged, we want to put it right.
Head to our Damages Criteria to check whether your book qualifies for a replacement, then get in touch with us at customerservices@thelockedlibrary.co.uk with your order number and photographic evidence of the damage within 14 days of receiving your book.
Please note: damage to the outer subscription box where the book itself is undamaged does not qualify for a replacement.
We're unable to offer exchanges, but if your special edition book arrives damaged, you may be eligible for a replacement. If you're within your cooling-off period and wish to cancel, please see the cancellation section for return instructions.
You are responsible for the cost of return postage in all cases.
