The Art of Darkness
In case you didn’t know, the Locked Librarians love spooky season. Every year our October book has a completely unique box inspired by the book inside.
A struggling painter is unexpectedly sought by the British Museum for his disturbing art, especially a surreal painting inspired by a cursed masterpiece from his great-grandfather. He must enter the paintings to prove he possesses the ability to escape the horrors contained inside. Each piece holds dark powers and a terrible curse. Tasked with destroying them, he navigates a world of black markets and ancient magic to save those connected to the art and find the missing tenth piece, rumoured to be the most dangerous.

The Locked Library subscription is not able to ship to the US and Canada due to distribution rights.
The Forbidden Wing ships globally, including the US and Canada.
Website editions are subject to individual rights, so please check each announcement and we will clearly signpost where it ships.

We always aim to send the boxes within the designated month. This can be up to and including the last week of the month.
It also depends where you are based:
- UK: Around two weeks after the monthly closing date.
- International: Up to four weeks after the monthly closing date.
